Sweet and Creamy Coleslaw

I’ve mentioned before that when my husband and I first married, I barely knew how to cook.  Burnt pots and tears of frustration were the norm in our parts, and eating out was a “rarity” that we enjoyed about 4 times a week.  One place that we visited quite often was a burger joint that served a deliciously creamy and sweet coleslaw along with its meals.  I generally am not a fan of coleslaw, but something about the sweetness got to me.  I’ve been wanting to recreate the same slaw at home, and a quick internet search gave me exactly what I wanted 🙂  I’ve halved the recipe to serve 4, and the key to is to allow the slaw to marinate for a couple of hours before serving.

Enjoy!

  1. Salam Henna! I had to chuckle at your post. What? A desi who doesn’t know how to cook?? JK. I was like that too, but I enjoyed cooking just needed practice. After I stopped working, I spent hours watching Food Network! Many hours and calories later, I had mastered most things. Alham. I can say I’m good now 🙂
Now, I love coleslaw and it’s tricky to find a good one. Yours looks really great, nice and simple which it should be!
