Crinkle Cookies

Salaam Y’all!

The recipe that I’m going to post today is embarrassingly easy.  These cookies are a sure hit with everyone, and very easy to whip up when you have unexpected visitors.

Crinkle Cookies

Yield:  30 Servings

  • 1 box Devil’s Food Cake mix (18.25 oz)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Powdered sugar, for rolling

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs in a large bowl and stir until dough forms.  Refrigerate the dough for 15 to 20 minutes.

Dust hands with powdered sugar, and shape the dough into 1-inch balls.  Roll the balls in powdered sugar and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the center of the cookie has set.  Cool for a few minutes, and then transfer to a cooling rack.  Allow the cookies to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Note:  Any flavored cake mix can be used.
